The 24 candidates for the 2010 Bb. Pilipinas visited PhilCharter head office on February 19, 2010. A lei corsage was given to each candidate as a welcome token. Their first stop was at the Executive Office. The candidates were greeted by the company’s Vice Chairman Mr. Gerry Tee, Board Member Mr. Robert Yu, President Mr. Melecio Mallillin, EVP Mr. Emmanuel Que, and FVP Mr. Nicasio Rollan III. After the photo shoot in the Executive Office, they were guided to the Skyland Atrium for a short program where employees met and greeted the candidates. Snacks were served to the candidates.

The program started with Mr. Mallillin’s welcome speech. After which, the certificate of insurance was given to each candidate together with the souvenir cap. The whole event was covered by GMA7 and aired on national television during the Pre-pageant Night on February 28, 2010.

Pageant and Coronation Night will be on March 6, 2010. Good luck to all the candidates!

Philippine Charter Insurance Corporation is the official insurance provider of the 2010 Bb. Pilipinas candidates. Personal Accident Insurance for the twenty four (24) candidates during the contest period for a maximum of thirty (30) days is covered by PhilCharter. This includes accidental death and disablement worth P500,000 and medical reimbursement worth P50,000. On the other hand, the top three winners will receive insurance coverage for accidental death & disablement and murder and assault worth P2,000,000 each, medical reimbursement and accidental burial expense worth P100,000 each, while the two (2) runner ups will receive insurance coverage for accidental death & disablement and murder and assault worth P1,000,000 each and medical reimbursement and accidental death expense worth P100,000 each. All the winners will receive a Global Travel Insurance for a maximum of ninety (90) days.

The yuletide is again in our midst. As the season ushers in the coming year, it brings renewed hope and sense of optimism for all of us. Truly, in spite of the trials and difficulties brought about by the recent calamities, we still have to celebrate the season with joy and love. The Christmas season should continue to live in our hearts.

In celebration, PhilCharter hosted a party for its agents as a way of showing gratitude for their continuous support to the company. The party was held at World Trade Center on December 3, 2009 with the theme "Swing Out". Guests came in their finest ballroom attire.

The program kicked off with Mr. Henry M. Sun, President, welcoming and thanking all the guests who celebrated the holiday season with PhilCharter. As the night continued, everyone was in a dancing mood and grooved to the tunes of chacha, tango, and line danced to the songs of the 80's.

Ms. Yda Avellanosa, a head office agent, and Mr. Ted Sy, a Manila Branch agent, were adjudged best dressed of the night. On the other hand, the lucky winner of the 22" Devant LCD TV was Mr. Basilio Go of head office agent. Other prizes were also raffled. Congratulations to all the winners!
